On the first level, the guest suite(or 1st story master suite - as you prefer it) opens up to a vast expanse of Balau timber decking. The alternative to a conventional garden and grass lawn, it has been created in light of the elevated structure of the house. Having an actual garden requires for there to be a level of the house built on the actual grounds surface. Here, the ground level forms the garage/storage rooms of the building, so the genius alternative was to create a stunning Zen-Garden on the first level exterior. The Zen-Garden is a labyrinth of astroturf grass, rock-pool pebbles , cacti-plants and quartz-crystal boulders. A beautiful plunge-pool is accessed by three timber steps, each fitted with small;fluorescent spot-lights. This pool as well as the pool on the higher level, is magically transformed in the night-time. Through cleverly picked neon-blue fibre-glass lining and ultra-violet type lighting under water, the effect becomes a glowing gem .The second floor pool is heated. Additionally, a jacuzzi sits nearby.

The 1st floor apartment is big enough to sleep 4, with one king-sized bed and a double-sleeper couch in the lounge. It comes equipped with a fully-stocked kitchen, including every top of the range appliance. The lounge has a large LCD TV screen, DVD player, I-pod docking station and CD-player. The bedroom comes with a king sized bed, ample closet space and an en-suite bathroom. The apartments colour-scheme keeps to the overall theme of peace and tranquility. Clean whites, aquamarine blues, sea-greens and suede-browns dominate and the added embellishments of green and blue mosaic, glass tiles compliment the sea-side concept beautifully. Raw-silk curtains populate every glass door frame throughout the entire villa. On display are three original Ian Van Zyl works. They are from his African wildlife collection of acrylics on canvas.
